Time flies...

Time really does fly, it's already mid February 2016 and spring is around the corner. The cats are enjoying the sunshine from their lookout spot and plants are beginning to awaken in the garden. After planting like mad all autumn it's gonna be so much fun to see what's coming up, and where! My memory about where I put what is a bit so so :)
My plan to photograph the garden every month last year kinda failed, but it was not much to look at after October. No rain at all in September and the it just kept pouring, or at least that's what it felt like. Christmas and new year's eve came and went and now let's see what this year brings :)

Spring is around the corner!

Goodbyes and new acquaintances

The past few days have been lots of ups and downs... On Wednesday we said goodbye to my granddad Sune (my farfar) and he was the last of my grandparents that passed. Feels really weird that my mum now is the oldest generation coz that must mean that I'm getting older as well... Anyway, it was a nice funeral service at Hovs church and he got some really beautiful flowers. I had made the wreath that was from us, ie mum, my sister and I and my sisters kids and it's these gorgeous Avalanche roses with purple limonium and ivy.

I inherited granddad's chairs and yesterday they got a little makeover from blue stripes to green abstract :) Finally got rid of the boyfriends old chairs that fell apart when you sat on them and these chairs are just so much better!

And then I went off to Shoe Me Gold in Höganäs to get these adorable blue Brako boots! I was so set on the black ones without lace but they didn't fit my ancles so I had to give up on them :( the shop girl asked if I didn't wanna try the blue ones on instead and I sort of fell in love :D Really comfy and just so pretty!

And today I met up with an old friend from school. We've been friends since we were 8 years old or so but some years ago she moved to Malmö to study and sort of got stuck there, now with boyfriend, baby and house :) we hadn't seen each other for about 4 years so we figured it was time. Always fun to meet old friends.

Birthday boy

Last Friday my darling Vincent turned 8 years old. I can't believe this little furball has been in my life for almost that long and covered my clothes in cathair and given me angry looks and snorted at me :P But also been the biggest cuddlemonster ever, and almost never got himself into trouble by being a naughty cat and jumping on tables or sneaking into the bedroom ;)

concrete tiles and concrete in the making

Last Monday I went to Oskarsström to buy and pick up 50 concrete tiles and loaded them up in my little trusted VW Polo :)

7 in the front seat and the rest in the back

And then I laid them out

4 tons of dirt was delivered to our house :)

the pallet rims were filled + the damaged parts to our lawn were repaired

Our house was heated by electricity and though it's effective it's not very economic so we searched and seached for a air heat pump that would fit above our front door where there was a very narrow space. We found a Fujitsu Lecan for a resonable price and had it installed. Not seen much of a change on the electricity bill yet but it will most likley pay itself off in just a few years :)

Not the nicest plastic rail to have on the wall but we've learnt to live with it :P

while the pump was being installed the cats were locked in the office room and they were not pleased ;)

Birthday girl

My beautiful kitty cat Embla turns 7 years old today! Feels like yesterday I went to see her and bring her home to me and Vincent. She's a cuddle monster and sounds like a speedboat when she purrs :) Happy birthday hunny!
