Rocks and lettuce

the wall is still standing and the Öland stones are in place
made two steps into the hill by splitting the last big stone and digging them in and pushing smaller stones in around the slope. Tried to cover the ground in concrete before placing the stones but it all just got mixed with the dirt so I just put some more over it all when I was done.
then some water on it to make the concrete burn and get hard, and then lets see if the stones will stay in place or what will happen... it looks as I had imagined it at least, and the steps are placed perfectly :)
the Sambucus Nigra 'Black Lace' is blooming with pretty pink flowers :) not enough to make lemonade but hopefully in a few years I'll be able to make some pink elderberry lemonade!
bee buzzing by
looked like a storm was coming, but it blew over us quite fast thankfully
the clematis is blooming :) and climbing!
Digitalis flowers are just too cool!
I planted some pumpkin seeds earlier this year and now it's 1,5 m long and still growing. Gonna be so much fun if I actually get some halloween pumpkins out of this plant :)
got some basket strawberries from my mum and they seem to like it where they live now.
and the tomatoplants are also digging it! No flowers yet but I think I'm just too eager for something more to happen than them just getting bigger and higher...
and now we can have some home grown lettuce with every meal. It's growing like mad and it's so nice to know that it's fresh and without any pesticides

Birthday boy

Last Friday my darling Vincent turned 8 years old. I can't believe this little furball has been in my life for almost that long and covered my clothes in cathair and given me angry looks and snorted at me :P But also been the biggest cuddlemonster ever, and almost never got himself into trouble by being a naughty cat and jumping on tables or sneaking into the bedroom ;)
best place to sleep is on mommys leg
the innocent look
grr, I want that bacon!
King Vincent
I love you dearly my boy

How to make a brick wall without knowing how

I got this crazy idea of digging out the area between the berry bush plot and the house to prevent rain and water from pouring downwards toward the house and had a clear image in my mind of how I wanted it ro look in the end. So I got all the stones I needed for this project and with the help from some friends with a little excavator the digging was done in just 45 min and me and the boyfriend could start with project "brick wall" :)
I'd googled how to do it but it's always trickier to actually do it for real,  but we did the best we could and now there is a wall! Will be interesting to see how it will stand against nature and time :P
More tiles will be laid against the wall to get the water to run from the house and Öland stone in between to make a path. Just wish the tiles and stones wasn't so heavy so it would be a fast and easy project ;)
