Birthday boy

Last Friday my darling Vincent turned 8 years old. I can't believe this little furball has been in my life for almost that long and covered my clothes in cathair and given me angry looks and snorted at me :P But also been the biggest cuddlemonster ever, and almost never got himself into trouble by being a naughty cat and jumping on tables or sneaking into the bedroom ;)
best place to sleep is on mommys leg

grr, I want that bacon!
King Vincent
I love you dearly my boy

Painting plans and tomato plants

Tomorrow our 40 year old water heater will be long gone and we'll have a new one that hopefully will last just as long (we're getting the same brand) and also lower our electricity bill! The isolation in this old one is probably not the best and a new one will also be so much more efficient.
A friend of mine told me about this amazing paint called Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan and after some head scratching to decide what colours to order I got Old White, Graphite and Provence + clear wax to apply after the paint has dried which is supposed to happen super quickly. I haven't had the time to try it out yet but hopefully very very soon! I got so many ideas :)
I'very planted five different kinds of tomato seeds and four of them have grown quite a bit in the past few days. Let's see where this will end :P
Vincent lyeing on my belly
I found these two benches on a flea market page on facebook and after much anxciety and abit poorer I could call them mine! I just haven't paid for them yet or picked them up but on Saturday they are moving to our yard! They will be painted with some Chalk Paint and maybe some black glazing paint, I'll know when i see them for real :)
I've printed out some of my instagram images and framed them in these special frames you use for old LP records. Turned out quite nice I think :)

New year, new hopes and dreams

2014 started with a bang, as always :P We tried to get some chinese lanters to rise but was without luck, it was too windy that night.
Me and Vincent cuddled abit
Embla want to get cuddled and gives me sour face until I give in :P
My friend Therese came to stay for a few days and we took a long walk on the beach here in Mellbystrand which resulted in some nice snapshots
One of the most succesful handball teams of all time was the Swedish players who played together in the 90's-00's and they were coached by a man called Bengt "Bengan" Johansson who is from Halmstad, so last weekend he put together some of his old players to play against a team with some of the best players from around the world and we went to see "Bengan Boys vs. TV4 World Team". It was all in good fun and an honour to see some of these great players play once more :)
Then the snow came after all...
and this huge blackbird is enjoying the food we've put out for the birdies

Vincent enjoying the pull-out bed/sofa Therese slept in
before the snow came it had been raining for weeks and weeks and the ground where we park our cars was quite muddy and I was just waiting for either one of us to get stuck, the boyfriend drew the shortest straw
and the wall was given no mercy :P
we had a visit from a very cute little theif who wanted some sunflower seeds
and this shot was taked just a few days before the snow came... you'd think it was April and not January!
And on January 2nd they opened a gym here in Mellbystrand in a building which is about 150 m from our house, so the boyfriend and I felt like we had no more excuses- time to start excersising and so far we've been there about three times a week :) I've never been a fan of gyms before but I can feel the change already and that it's doing me good and I hope to continiue to feel that way :)

Saturday off

Having worked last weekend it was nice to have a Saturday at home with my älskling just spending time together. I made some breakfast buns, we went for a walk down to the beach to see the damage that the storm the other day had made. The steep sloaps down to the beach were steeper than before and I can imagine that both wind and water have been pretty  high during the storm. We also paid a visit to the new big thing happening here in the village, a gym which will open just about 100m from our house. I'm not really a big fan of gyms but I really should go and since work pays for half the fee I have no excuse not to go :P so we went home and bought two memberships, so here we go! :)
Also made a gingerbread house (correction: we put together one that we bought) and watched a good film in the evening, a great end to a very ordinary and good Saturday :)
